Dover Speedway 9/27/09 AAA 400
It was raining when we got to the track, but it stopped in time for a dry green flag start @ 2pm.

Ashleys favorite driver Kyle Busch # 18 driving the Interstate Batteries sponsored Toyota Camry. Unfortunately he had some engine trouble and finsihed 58 laps down.
Look right behind the Sunoco sign, there's Kyle. Just in front of him are his teammates. Denny Hamlin & Joey Logano all 3 drivers were running in the top 15 until Joey's wreck in Turn 3 on Lap 31 where he rolled 7 times.

Kyle Busch had some issues, too. Blown top end, was replaced and Kyle finished 58 laps behind the # 48.

Ashley's favorite Birthday Present - Dover tickets
On Sunday Sept 27. Jason and Ashley are going down to Dover to see their first Live Nascar race. Jason got seats in the pit out & Sprint Cup garage area. They are also going to take a Trackside tour through pit road and the garage area. It is all she has been talking about, we have never seen her so excited for anything like this. This will be Jason and Ashley's 1st trip with out me, finally I get peace for 2 days.
The KYLE BUSCH SHRINE in Ashley's Room
If you mention the number 18, Ashley will tell you "that's Kyle Busch's number" It just so happens their are 18 kids in her Kindergarten class. So there is no chance she will forget it. It doesn't matter if he is driving in the CWTS, Nationwide or Sprint Cup. If Kyle doesn't win she gets pissed and stamps her feet. We are not sure what it is about him that she likes, we thought it was because he drove an M&M's car. But she knows all the cars not just the M&M's 18. Unfortunately Kyle didn't make the Chase for the Sprint Cup this year. However he is leading Carl Edwards by 220 pts in the Nationwide Series Championship.
The ductwork is finally going in upstairs
Looks I will finally have my dining room for a holiday, something I have waited 10 yrs for. Once the ductwork is done on Monday all Jason has to do is sand, prime and paint. 
Soccer Fall 2009
Ashley is playing with all of the same kids that she has played with for the past 2 seasons. She got to play goalie in her first game this season. This year she has moved up to U-6 where they start playing by the rules and with more structure.

We went up to Jenny Jump State Forest park, we started to take the trail with a view of the Pequest Valley. But Colleen wanted to go to the Lake instead. To our surprise we had to climb up 300 feet to the top of a mountain then climb down 900 feet to the lake. After the first mile we turned around, because Ashley and I had an inexperienced hiker with us.

Ashley had great grandma and grandpa (Nanny's parents) over for some Cake Boss cake on her birthday. Also some of her friends came over for the grown up party we had with her girls, Alexa and Alexandra. the 3 A's.

Ashley's 1st time bowling
Ashley bowled 2 games she scored a 40 and 60. Not too bad for her first time, using a 6# ball. Her score was close to Colleen and Uncle Warren's low scoring games. Someday she will be as good as her daddy his high game is 279.
Look everyone no more training wheels !!!
Ashley has been bugging her daddy to take her training wheels off her bike. We aren't quite sure why, but that's what she wanted. Now comes the hard part learning to ride it without them. Jason said his back is already hurting from holding the bike up while Ashley pedals.

Ashley's 1st day of kindergarten 9/2/09
Today Ashley got out of bed all refreshed and ready to start Kindergarten. Our little girl is all grown up, it is a shock to us that Ashley is already 5. Colleen took some pictures before we left for school.

Ashley's 5th Birthday
Ashley woke up at 6:45, but waited in her room watching TV until 8:15 when we got up. We hurried up to get ready to go for breakfast (1 hour later) at Ashley's favorite eatery Perkins. Ashley got a free breakfast for her birthday.
After breakfast we drove up to Hoboken to Carlo's Bakery. Hoping to meet "The Cake Boss". Buddy was not there. Ashley saw the birthday cake she wanted in the case. So we bought it. 
At home after we had dinner, Ashley finally got to enjoy her extremely expensive birthday cake. But it was special day for all of us because Ashley starts Kindergarten tomorrow, so what's $50.00 if it makes our little girl happy.
Here is Ashley with her cake right before we ate the 100 grams of Fat slices, no need to take your Insulin for a month after one of these slices.
Here is Jason trying to cut into the stiff Fondant covered cake, it was a real challenge. But the cake was well worth the trouble.
